Set up DLP Shield.
A paid DLP Shield licence is required before the Chrome extension can be activated. Buy and assign licences first, then install DLP Shield on Chrome for a Windows PC or Mac. Native macOS and Safari versions are coming soon.
1Create or sign in to your organisationUse Buy licences above to create an account or sign in. You will be taken to Billing in the customer portal.
2Buy and assign licencesIn Billing, choose the number of named users and complete checkout. Then open People and Licences, invite each user and assign a DLP Shield licence.
3Install and activateEach licensed user installs DLP Shield, signs in with their invited email address and activates their computer.
Extension and Application Installation instructions.
- Open the DLP Shield listing in the Chrome Web Store using Google Chrome.
- Select Add to Chrome, then confirm Add extension.
- Pin DLP Shield from Chrome’s Extensions menu so it is easy to find.
- Open DLP Shield and sign in using your email and password, or select Continue with Google.
- Select the physical computer this installation belongs to. If it is a new computer, give it a meaningful name and activate protection.
- Confirm the extension shows Licence active and a synchronised policy version.
- Refresh any open ChatGPT or Claude tabs before testing prompt and document protection.

How to know DLP Shield is working.
- Protected statusThe extension shows an active licence and current policy.
- Safe testTry entering a fictional email address. DLP Shield should warn you before it is shared.
- Portal visibilityYour organisation administrator can see connected installations in the customer portal.

Common setup questions.
I cannot activate DLP Shield
Check that you are signing in with the email address invited to the organisation and that a DLP Shield licence has been assigned to you. Ask your organisation administrator to check People and Licences in the portal.
Protection does not appear in the browser
Confirm the extension is enabled, sign in again, then refresh the ChatGPT or Claude tab. If it still does not appear, close and reopen the browser.
Can I install DLP Shield in Safari or as a native Mac app?
Not yet. Native macOS and Safari versions are in development. Use the Chrome extension on a Windows PC or Mac in the meantime.
